Clutch Sports Project

Clutch Sports: Where Legends Are Born

Clutch Sports is a full-stack demo that bridges the gap between software engineering and competitive athletics. As a student-athlete and Computer Science major, I developed this application using Next.js and React to solve the problem of information overload in sports media.

The project centers on a "Clutch-Detection" logic that filters live games to prioritize "crunch-time" scenarios matchups with thin score margins in the final minutes ensuring users never miss high-stakes moments.

The Challenge: During development, I hit a significant "brick wall" while attempting to integrate dynamic assets like team logos, player headshots, and real-time data feeds. Initially, the integration felt impossible, but by maintaining my composure and leaning into my identity as a self-learner, I initiated a deep-dive research session. Within 30 minutes, I mastered the necessary API structures and data-binding techniques to fully populate the demo with live, visual content. This project showcases my ability to build high-performance, component-driven interfaces while demonstrating the grit and rapid problem-solving skills essential for modern web development.

Klippah Talk

Klippah Talk: Modernizing the Barber Experience

I developed Klippah Talk, a custom web solution for a prominent barbershop near my hometown to transform their digital presence and operational efficiency. Before this project, the shop relied entirely on word-of-mouth, phone calls, and texts, making it difficult for new clients to find them online, view pricing, or check real-time availability. I bridged this gap by building a platform that made the shop accessible to the public and implementing an integrated appointment system. This transition from manual booking to a digital interface allowed users to view and book slots instantly while giving the barbers a clear, organized view of their schedule. Additionally, I developed a registration portal for their barber school, providing a functional, cost-effective solution that met their specific budgetary and administrative needs.

The Challenge: The greatest challenge of this project was architecting a design that felt modern and high-quality while remaining highly efficient for the end user. During the development process, I faced technical hurdles that tested my patience and problem-solving abilities. I managed these high-pressure moments by maintaining a growth-oriented perspective; I understood that being "stuck" was simply an indication that I was on the verge of a breakthrough. By trusting in my ability to self-teach and viewing every obstacle as a learning lesson rather than a setback, I was able to stay calm and deliver a professional product that directly fueled the shop's growth.

Skills Used:

  • React
  • Node.js
  • HTML5/CSS3
  • Full-Stack Development
  • UI/UX Design
  • Appointment System Integration
  • Responsive Web Design
  • Self-Taught Problem Solving

FlowState

Flowstate: Financial Literacy for the Next Generation

The Mission: I recognized a critical gap in the transition from student life to financial independence: most young people lack the tools or the knowledge to manage their capital effectively. Flowstate was born from this necessity. It is a budgeting application designed to strip away the complexity of traditional finance, replacing it with a visual, intuitive interface that makes saving and tracking second nature. My goal is to transform financial literacy from a chore into a "flow state," empowering my peers to build true wealth through disciplined, automated habits.

The Development Journey: As a self-taught developer, this project pushed me to my limits. I set out to create a high-level, modern design that matched the quality of top-tier fintech apps. I hit a significant "dead end" when trying to balance that aesthetic with the complex logic required for realistic financial modeling. Instead of walking away, I used that frustration as a catalyst. I embraced the challenge of architectural compromise—learning when to prioritize core logic to ensure the demo remained efficient and functional. This project is a testament to my determination to bridge the gap between a student project and a professional-grade enterprise.

Current Status & Future Roadmap: I have officially released the Flowstate Demo, which serves as a functional proof of concept and a testament to my ability to build logic-heavy applications from scratch. This is only the beginning. Using the feedback and insights gained from this release, I am currently in the development phase for the official Flowstate App. The upcoming full-scale launch will feature a more robust backend, expanded financial tools, and the high-fidelity UI that I have been relentlessly refining.
