Purpose
Welcome to the Journey. I am Raehezekeil Rice. I am a Computer Science sophomore at Converse University, from Charlotte, NC, currently pursuing a career in Software Engineering. While I am centered on Full-Stack development, I am also increasingly drawn to the intersection of Cloud Architecture and UI/UX Design. I believe that a great application isn't just about the code; it's about creating a seamless, user-first experience backed by a scalable and resilient infrastructure.
My background as a student-athlete has been a vital classroom for my professional life. It has instilled in me the discipline, adaptability, and grit required to navigate the fast-moving tech landscape. I don't view my sport as just a game; it has taught me that the most successful projects are built on a foundation of communication and shared goals.
I operate with a mindset of continuous growth: I believe you can always learn something new, I strive to listen four times as much as I speak, and I aim to lead with humility by example while remaining calm under pressure. Whether I am architecting a cloud-based app or collaborating with a team, I believe that true leadership is service.
Thank you for visiting my portfolio. I'm excited to share my growth and projects with you. Feel free to explore my work, and if you have questions or would like to connect, reach out. I look forward to hearing from you!

About Me
As a Computer Science sophomore and student-athlete, I am defined by a constant drive for personal growth and a commitment to servant leadership. My journey is built on continuous evolution: moving from a 1.9 GPA in high school to a 3.3 GPA in college. This shift is a testament to the discipline I bring to my code and my sport. I don't believe I'll ever be the "best" me, because I chase him every day.
From earning Presidential Honors (2024, 2025) and serving as a Community Advisor to designing freelance websites, I apply the same grit to my development that I do to my leadership roles. My focus is reflected in my work as a SAAC (Student-Athlete Advisory Committee) Member and Team Representative, as well as my election to the Conference Carolinas Leadership Conference in September 2025. I believe that true leadership is service. Be the person you would follow.
Career Interests & Future Goals
I am currently seeking software engineering internship opportunities. While my primary focus is Full-Stack development, I am also exploring broader interests within the tech field that allow me to solve complex problems. I am fully prepared to relocate or work remotely, seeking roles that offer housing support or a stipend to facilitate the transition. As a young entrepreneur, I view every professional environment as a chance to sharpen my technical skills, expand my network, and refine the communication required to lead at a high level. I dedicate time every day to building this foundation, working relentlessly toward the goal of owning a business and potentially multiple enterprises in the future.
My vision for the future is not defined by being "rich," but by achieving a level of true wealth that centers on influence and impact. I believe that wealth is the ability to change lives for the better, give back to the less fortunate, and provide a strong foundation of support for those who invested in my journey. I chase a version of myself that is capable of empowering others and serving my community through the success of my businesses. Every project I build and every connection I make is a step toward that goal, creating a legacy of service and making a lasting difference in the lives of those around me.
